To further deepen economic and trade cooperation between Jiangsu and Türkiye under the Belt and Road Initiative and to support high-quality expansion of Jiangsu enterprises into the Eurasian market, the "Jiangsu Premium Products Global Tour · Jiangsu (Türkiye) Trade Matchmaking Conference," hosted by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce, was successfully held on the afternoon of March 27 local time.

Under the theme "Stabilizing the Trade Foundation, Promoting Mutual Empowerment," the matchmaking conference served as a precise bridge connecting Jiangsu's manufacturing sector with the Middle East market. Twenty-five foreign trade enterprises from Nanjing, Suzhou, Nantong, and other cities engaged in in-depth discussions with over a hundred professional buyers from Türkiye and neighboring countries, as well as overseas Chinese merchants. The exchanges covered multiple sectors, including new energy vehicles, specialty steel, and textile fabrics.

Driving 'Mutual Benefit and Win-Win' through 'High Complementarity'

Türkiye's strategic position as a crossroads between Europe and Asia is gaining renewed strategic value. According to data from the General Administration of Customs of China, bilateral trade volume between China and Türkiye reached $44.62 billion in 2025, with China's exports to Türkiye totaling $40.08 billion, making China the largest source of imports for Türkiye. China has surpassed Russia to become Türkiye's second-largest global trading partner and its largest trading partner in Asia.

Si Yong, Director General of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce, expressed his expectation that this matchmaking conference would serve as an opportunity to further enhance mutual understanding between Jiangsu and Türkiye, fully explore cooperation potential, jointly develop new trade routes along the Silk Road, and propel bilateral economic and trade cooperation to higher levels, broader fields, and greater depths.

The matchmaking conference achieved significant results in matching supply with demand. Buyers presented clear procurement needs, indicating substantial cooperation potential. The participating Jiangsu suppliers all reported positive outcomes, with multiple companies securing intended orders.
